Delivery services - March 2021 update.
In a major change, our NUK product pricing and delivery charges are now separated.
No "delivery included" prices are available. This change has been made to accommodate priority (24) and standard (48) Royal Mail Tracked services. Since December, more than 75% of customers chose the optional tracked services offered at checkout in an attempt to mitigate nationwide postal delays.
Customers will see that the tracked shipping prices are higher than previously advertised, however, our single use teat and bottle prices have all been reduced. Customers who previously booked 'UPS courier' will see a small net reduction in price compared to recent orders. Furthermore, by removing an "inclusive shipping" element, customers ordering more than one NUK single use product will benefit further.
The majority of our deliveries are now undertaken by Royal Mail.
Tracked 24 parcels have a delivery aim of 1-3 days to a UK address, Monday to Saturday*.
Tracked 48 parcels have a delivery aim of 2-5 days to a UK address, Monday to Saturday*.
Provided you have submitted correct email and cellphone details, you will receive tracking information and delivery notifications directly from Royal Mail.
*Business addresses are served Monday to Friday.
In the current climate we are finding that some orders are taking longer than usual to arrive. This seems to vary by region. Like all carriers, Royal Mail are experiencing staff shortages and logistical issues due to sickness and Covid measures, however, be advised that Tracked24/48 are both priority services.
We are constrained by an average weight limit on Royal Mail Tracked services, therefore some bulkier items will be shipped by Parcelforce24/48 (Mon-Fri) at our discretion and at no additional charge to you.
TRACKED SHIPPING SERVICES STILL CANNOT BE GUARANTEED (NONE ARE), BUT THEY ARE TRACEABLE IF THEY DO NOT ARRIVE IN A TIMELY MANNER.
Services to locations outside of the UK are resumed where available. VAT is removed from the cart where the destination is outside of the UK and NI.
Payment of local VAT and any administrative charges are the responsibility of the importer.
Parcels are scanned upon delivery and this information will be shared with our payment processors if requested to do so.
Larger orders will often be comprised of multiple packages. They will be sent out together, and will be marked 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3 etc, but they may not always arrive at the same time.
Tracked24/48 parcels will be delivered by postal staff who already know your address well. Royal Mail will normally attempt to leave your parcel with a neighbour if you are not available. You can specify your preferred neighbour or opt-out of this facility http://www.royalmail.com/delivery-to-neighbour. If it is not possible to leave your parcel, it will be taken to your local Delivery Office where it will be held for 18 days. Royal Mail will usually leave a red and white A6 sized calling card. Deliveries can be rearranged online at 48 hour's notice, or collected in person. For security reasons, cards will not be left in communal areas, for example, the entrance to a number of apartments. You will need two forms of ID to collect your parcel.
We are unable to guarantee a delivery day or time, but we can guarantee to send your goods out when we say we will. We are able to provide proof of delivery (or holding at your local Delivery Office) upon request.
We can offer courier delivery to certain areas. We use Parcelforce, GLS and UPS. Where available, you may choose these services from the drop-down list in the shopping cart. These methods offer more detailed delivery tracking function for those who need it.
We are fully responsible to ensure that the goods which are ordered are delivered to the customer's address in a reasonable amount of time. We are of course wholly reliant upon third parties to deliver your orders.
Snow and flooding can and does wreak havoc with our beloved postal system.
This is our 21st year as a mail order business. Whilst we promise to post your orders on time (and we will tell you if we are prevented from doing so), be advised that postal delays of up to a week due to bad weather are not uncommon.
Please remember that your order has to travel through a network of distribution centres before it is handed to your postman/woman. Your delivery can be adversely affected by poor weather conditions 100s of miles from your location.
Our preferred carrier is Royal Mail. The majority of customers are familiar with how our postal system works, and know where to collect a package from in the event that it was not possible to deliver.
This year, Royal Mail introduced delivery scanning on all of our parcel services. If you think your package may be held at the delivery office, call us on 0121 339 5060 and we will be able to check for you.
None of our shipping services have a guaranteed delivery day.
No package will be considered as 'lost' for 14 days (UK).
I'm outside of the UK and it won't allow me to purchase. Can you supply me?
By agreement, we are unable to ship to most non-UK countries. If the cart will not accept an order for your destination, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to put you in touch with the correct distributor for your area.
